Mac & Cheese in a Rice Cooker

Mix 'n' Match Mac

One of our lovely Facebook fans recently requested a recipe for a macaroni hamburger dish. What really makes an entree like this is that crunchy browned crust, which was deliciously achieved in my Aroma Rice Cooker! And a bonus! Everything cooks in one pot, including the pasta. Here is to peaceful and stress-free weekday dinners the whole family will enjoy!

Ingredients
1/2 lb of ground beef
2 cups of macaroni, or other small pasta of your choice
1 cup beef stock
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tbsp of taco seasoning

Directions
Using the Sauté-Then-Simmer™ function, brown beef until cooked through. Add pasta, beef stock and cream, close the lid and switch to Steam for 10 minutes. Open the lid and mix pasta gently, add cheese and taco seasoning and stir to combine. Set on Sauté-Then-Simmer™ for another 10 minutes to form a cheesy, crusty bottom.
