Bourbon Glazed Meatballs

Meatballs-with-Bourbon Sauce

Sports are on parade this time of year: Soccer, Baseball and Football. And they all add up to friends coming over and enjoying the games. So if you’re wondering what to serve, here’s your answer: Bourbon Glazed Meatballs. The deep rich flavor of this bourbon BBQ sauce will earn you extra points this season. After the meatballs are cooked, cover with finished sauce and set Grillet to the “warm” setting. When ready to serve, arrange on a platter or bring the Grillet to the table. Be sure to make extra sauce for dipping. It’s all about the sauce.

Bourbon Glaze
1/2 cup bourbon
2 cups tomato ketchup
1 tsp granulated onion
1 tsp granulated garlic
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp dark brown sugar
2 tbsp prepared mustard
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 shakes of tobacco sauce

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 tsp sweet paprika
2 tsp panko
1 egg, beaten

Combine all glaze ingredients in a pan. Bring to a boil and then simmer until slightly thickened.

Mix meatball ingredients in a bowl. Take out small bits and roll them in your hand to create the meatballs, then grill them in your Grillet.

Pour the glaze over the cooked meatballs and heat until warm.
