Pork, Noodles & Veggie Pocket

PC Pork-Noodle, Crisp Veggie Pocket 3

Who says you can’t have your pocket and noodles too? This great tasting pork pares up with the two of them making one great and satisfying dish. No worries about time or heat when you cook this pork in your Aroma Pressure Cooker. Quick and delicious, it makes a great change for that patio party this summer.

5 lb pork, cut into large size pieces
½ cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp black pepper
2 tsp five spice powder
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp honey
3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
3 tbsp ketchup
3 tbsp Korean chili paste

Whisk all ingredients together and thoroughly cover the pieces of pork. Place in a zip lock plastic bag or a bowl with a tight lid and marinate in the refrigerator for at least four hours or up to 24 hours.
Place 2 tbsp vegetable oil in the inner cooking pot of the Aroma Pressure Cooker and heat with the Brown setting. Once it is hot, lightly brown the pork on all sides. Add 2 cups water, close the lid securely and set the steam vent to “closed”. Set to low pressure and cook for 40 minutes or until meat registers to 145- 150° F. Allow the pressure to release naturally. When cool enough to handle, shred the meat and place in pita pockets with shredded cabbage, cooked noodles, green onions and a squirt of Sriracha sauce.

    There is no number of servings, serving size or nutritional information.
