Asian Lettuce Wraps

These Asian lettuce wraps are a great alternative to ordering takeout–a simple appetizer that only requires mixing ingredients in your Aroma Rice Cooker. This easy recipe will inspire you to cook at home and you will be rewarded with some delicious wraps (approximately 20 to 25) that can be paired with rice or other grains. Enjoy!

Ingredients
2 heads of butter lettuce (separated, washed and dried)
2 tsp vegetable or grapeseed oil
2 pounds ground beef
1 or 2-in piece of ginger (depending on preferred amount), peeled and finely grated
4 scallions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
salt and pepper

Servings: 6-10
Cooking time: 12 minutes

Directions
Turn on the Saute-Then-Simmer function of your Aroma Rice Cooker. Once inner pot is hot, add oil and ground beef and saute until brown. Stir in ginger, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, hoisin, salt and pepper and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove inner pot from heat and stir in peanuts. Serve warm in lettuce cups.
